MAYAN CULTURE AND CANCUN

DETAILED PROGRAM

DAY 01: CANCUN – MERIDA

Reception at the airport, assistance and transport to the bus terminal to travel towards Merida (4 hrs.), capital of the state of Yucatan and entrance to the Maya world. At night, we recommend a show of ballads, typical Mexican music. Mexico is the birthplace of Armando Manzanero, among others.

DAY 02: MERIDA – UXMAL

At 09.00 hrs, we will begin the tour around Merida, to visit its traditional streets, the Cathedral (the tallest of America), European style buildings, parks and panoramic views of residential boulevards. We will then return to the hotel to travel to the ruins of Uxmal. This city is one of the most important of the Maya world, with its ruins like the Temple of the fortune-teller, the nuns, the palaces, the Temple of the Governor, among others. The tour includes a dinner. Afterwards, we will enjoy a show of light and sounds in the pyramids. Finally, we will return to Merida.

DAY 03: ROUTE OF PUUC

This day we will visit the archeological sites of Sayil, Labna, and Xlapak, which form part of the route of Puuc, which lies between the mountains. Afterwards, we will visit the caves of Lol Tun, where we will walk inside the caves for 1.30 hrs. Finally, we will return to Merida. Free afternoon and night.

DAY 04: CAMPECHE

This day we will travel for 2 hours to the city and port of Campeche. This city was attacked by the most famous pirates during the colonial times. We will visit the walls that protected the city and enjoy the amazing landscape. After lunch (not included) we will return to Merida.

DAY 05: CHICHEN ITZA – CANCUN

At 09.00 hrs., we will travel to Chichen Itza, where a guide will takes us to the pyramids, including the famous Temple of Kukulkan, one of the 7 wonders of the world, as well as the observatory, the temple of warriors and the sacred well, among other buildings. Includes a lunch at the site. Finally, we will return to Cancun arriving to your hotel at 6 p.m. All included plan.

DAY 06: CANCUN

Enjoy Cancun with your all included hotel.

DAY 07: CANCUN

Enjoy your all included hotel.

Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 08: CANCUN

Transport to the airport. Flight back home.
