Trujillo is a city in north-western Peru known as the ‘Capital of the everlasting Spring” due to its sun soaked weather. It is known for its unique iron wrought architecture, and its ancient mud based architecture. Two UNESCO World Heritage archaeological sites make this city a must see on a tour of Peru. Chan Chan is the largest mud city in the world and the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon are the largest made in the ‘adobe’ mud style.
Chiclayo is a city famous for the Northern Wari ruins, an entire prehistoric city covering an area of over 3 miles, which include the stunning Valley of the Pyramids.
DAY 1: TRUJILLO
Reception at the airport. Private transfer to the hotel.
In the afternoon we will visit the city and observe the traditional architecture and steel forged works that adorn this sun- bathed city. We will visit the principal streets and avenues, the town square and continue to Chan Chan, the biggest mud city in the world. We will continue to the Pyramid of the Sun and Moon.
We will visit the beach of Huanchaco, where fisherman to this day continue to carry out their activities using small vessels made of large reeds (totoras) This resort has excellent restaurants that specialize in seafood.
DAY 2: TRUJILLO – CHICLAYO
Breakfast. Transfer to Chiclayo at a convenient time by private transport. Accommodation at selected hotel.
In the afternoon we will visit the city and after that continue to the famous archaeological sites of Tucumé, Señor de Sipán and The Valley of the Pyramids which were built by ancestral cultures such as Chimú, Mochica and Sicán, all of which will help us understand the way of life during those times.
DAY 3: CHICLAYO
Private transfer to the airport at a convenient time.
